
Finaly a trip to the dragstrip! With 1600 miles on the odometer the car was really ready to go. Everything
is stock except I removed the air filter box cover.
As you can see, my first run was awesome. I don't know what I did but it was right. I couldn't seem to get
back near that mark and seemed to get slower as the day went on. I had trouble with traction, as expected. The
two fourteen second runs are due to a missed first to second shift.
Overall I did pretty good. I beat a 4.6L DOHC supercharged Mustang Cobra and some older hot rods. There was a
modified 1998 C5 that blew my doors off. He was having a lot of trouble launching and he was still killing me.
The car was run in street trim starting with a quarter tank of gas. All shifting was done by the shift light on
the HUD. It was about eighty degrees and mildly humid outside. Traction control and ASR was off.
